Message From The Chief

Welcome to Grant County Fire District #3

The purpose of this web site is to provide information to the public, and our most valued resource, our Volunteers. Thank you for visiting.

Grant County Fire District 3 Fire and Rescue is Dedicated to Fire Prevention and Life Safety. We are staffed with well trained and dedicated fire and EMS professionals, proudly serving the residents of the following communities, recreation areas and the surrounding areas:

  • Quincy
  • Winchester
  • Block 71
  • Low Gap
  • George
  • Sunland Estates
  • The Gorge
  • Crescent Bar

Grant County Fire District 3 is 503 square miles in area, located in central Washington State.

The district is an exceptionally rich producing farming community, and is quickly becoming a tech giant of Eastern Washington with several large companies building data centers in the Quincy Valley. These international companies are attracted to the area by our large open spaces, multiple fiber optic networks and inexpensive hydroelectric power.

I have been serving this great agency as the Fire Chief since 2020.  In my tenure a number of strategic initiatives have been undertaken designed to maximize our effectiveness in the delivery of services to our customers. We have completed a strategic planning process which has given us clear direction into the future of the fire district. We invest heavily into our people with training opportunities, ranging from top quality station drills to sponsoring training at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The district has completed two major fire station construction projects which have allowed us to provide a higher level of service to the public. We continually upgrade our apparatus so our firefighters have the best equipment we can afford to help mitigate your emergency.

I am extremely proud of the women and men of this Fire District. They carry out their responsibilities flawlessly on a daily basis. They are your neighbors, friends, employees and family members. They are committed to protecting lives and property, and being good stewards of the districts funds. These people work extremely hard to make our community a better place to live everyday.

On behalf of the Grant County Fire District #3 Fire Commissioners and all our dedicated members, I would like to thank you for your continued support. We have only been able to reach our goals by that support of you, the community we serve.

If you ever have any questions I can assist you with, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Respectfully,
Chief Leibelt
