Safe Place for Newborns of Washington
In Washington State, it’s legal to leave your newborn baby with an employee at any hospital, manned fire station or Federally Designated Rural Health Clinic in the state within 72 hours of giving birth. Tell the employee that you want to leave your baby with Safe Place for Newborns. Your baby will be given any needed medical attention, then placed in foster care for adoption.
